List of open sockets
lsof -i :80
Will give you the process id, you can then kill the process.
Useful for getting rid of Tomcat and other things that gave up the ghost while in the middle of something.

I need to keep stuff in where I can find it and where better than a blog. Got the idea from a friend who does the same thing. Makes sense really.
